Journey to Intan Bridge and Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics [ENG ver. of Jalan-Jalan ke ke Jembatan Intan dan Museum seni rupa]

My name is Rafi. This times I am gonna share my journey to all of you, trip to Intan Bridge and Toko Merah in Kota Tua, Jakarta. Some people though, Kota Tua Jakarta (Jakarta old city area) its just only Fatahillah Museum and Fatahillah Park. Actually, there is other historical place besides Fatahillah Museum and Fatahillah Park, such as Intan Bridge and Toko Merah (Red shop).

I departed to Kota Tua Jakarta by train on Saturday. In weekend, There wasn`t lot of people in the station. I rode my motorcycle from my home to Pondok Ranji Station. Actually, I could use The Transjakarta bus but I want different experience, also I tried Tap cash Hasanah that I got before from BNI Syariah for pay train ticket. Tap Cash Hasanah is prepaid debit card purpose for payment, shopping and other stuff. This card issued by BNI Syariah (One of many Sharia Bank in Indonesia). You could get it from BNI Syariah office. Because Tap cash is BNI Syariah`s new product, Maybe some branch office not provide this card yet. So, I suggest you to ask BNI Syariah officer first. When I parked my ride at Pondok Ranji Station, there was announcement about how to parking. its said "Tap in (check in) by Prepaid debit card like Tap cash, Brizzi, Flazz and e-money or you can use member park. So I checked in using Tap Cash Hasanah, its work. Then I checked in for train on checkpoint mechine using my Tap Cash Hasanah, once again its work. This card is very useful.

I got on train at Pondok Ranji Station, changed train at Tanah Abang Station then changed to train which departing to Kampung Bandan Station, changed train again at Kampung Bandan Station, changed to train which departing to Jakarta Kota Station. After I arrived in Jakarta Kota Station, I should check out on checkpoint mechine. This point its pay train charge based how far between check in and check out. I just paid charge by same card for IDR 3.000. So far Tap Cash Hasanah it was really work. For keep in mind, make sure check out with different prepaid card. If you used different prepaid card, there is extra charge.

At Jakarta Kota Station, I heading to Toko Merah. I walked from Jakarta Kota, turned left to Kali Besar bridge then turned right, I straight forward and I reached at Toko Merah. At Toko Merah.

Unfortunately, Toko Merah was closed. I was disappointed. I though Toko Merah will open in Weekend, I wrong. I guess, interest for visiting Toko Merah was less, so being closed. I saw inside through the window,Toko Merah have classic interior and still have upkeep. Toko Merah was built by Gustaaf Willem Baron Van Imnof in 1730.


  

My journey continue to Intan Bridge. Its located near by Toko Merah. Just move forward. When I was walking, I heard unclear voice like someone called. I didn`t give attention. And just let it go

Intan Bridge had been maintence and repainted with maron colour. Under the bridge, there is Kali Besar flow. But Kali Besar has contaminated by garbage, mostly plastic trash. If Kali Besar got clean, it would be good for Jakarta environment especially for Kota Tua Jakarta it would being more beutiful. People`s concern to make all Jakarta`s rivers become clean its needed. At Jembatan Intan, I entered the gate. If you guys want to take a picture, there charge for this. People who ask money for taking picture at Intan Bridge, they are unauthorized people and its illegal. Because they seems have no sign or something to prove they are legal. The rate its too expansive. I heard from the other tourist, They rate was like IDR 20.000. I don`t know how they can do this. I hope officer in charge can solve this problem I was disappointed, I couldn`t get into Toko Merah, then I was back to Fatahillah Park. 

When I was walking to Fatahillah Park. I saw miniature of VOC Ship. Its`located on traffic roundbout, nearby Intan Bridge

At Fatahillah Park, I heard Javanese music. It was playing with Gamelan, Gong (both of them are Javanese Music Instrument) and someone like spoke in Javanese. Ohhh..m Festival of Wayang was being held at Museum Fine Art and Ceramics. 

Actually, In Present day Festival of Wayang or Wayang Show is have been rarely. At 12 o'clock it was breaktime. In breaktime, I entered Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics. At the Museum, I was set picture because its not allow in here.

  You get come to Museum Fine Arts and Ceramic. Important rule when visit the museum.  Keep your hand off the painting, statute, ceramics and the another things. Because human hand have bacteria and heat which broke art. I paid for the ticket for IDR 5,000 and its legal by the way. In colonialism ages, museum fine art and ceramic was used as court of justice. This builiding designed by Hoofd Ingenier JHR. W.H.F.H van Reders on 1870. It has neo classic architecture. Its had been used by Indonesian Soldier as logistic warehouse. On 1970-1973 its used as Mayor of West Jakarta' Office. On 1974 this was restoration. This museum have 500 art such as Raden Saleh Syarif Budiman' s painting, Trubus` painting, artifacts from Majapahit Kingdom, Chinese` ceramics,  ceramics from shipwreck, ancient artifacts and the another kinds. I looked all arts in this museum, i thougt all  arts have historical value and mean. It was good, I guess. 

After I was out of the Museum, I came back home by Train with same direction. And that was my journey to Intan Bride, Museum Fine Arts and Ceramics and Toko Merah (Eventhough It was cancelled hahahha).
